Custom home builders do not have the same luxuries as semi-custom home builders. Custom builders typically utilize an extensive paper trail with Excel spreadsheets to complete their tasks and manage their schedule. For the custom home buyer, upwards of 400 hours may become necessary to pick all of the amenities of their new home. For one home buyer, this proved to be too much, and he sought to create a better solution.

Mega Input Data Services, Inc. served as the application development team and project management team to design, develop, and implement a unique web application to meet the industry demand for our client. MIDS staff conducted interviews with builders, performed extensive industry research and developed architectural specs and project diagrams to facilitate a smooth development cycle. Our consultants, along with MIDS DBA's, created, from scratch, a custom workflow solution that not only met the expectation, but exceeded it.
The Results
The resulting application, SelectionWare, has received industry accolades from NEFBA and other organizations. Utilizing the software, custom home builders are able to effectively communicate with home buyers and subcontractors utilizing one platform. The software has been showcased in annual events such as the International Builders Show, Custom Builder Symposium, and the Sunbelt Builders Show to name a few.
